•A
database is a table or a series of tables that stores information
•
A table simply refers to a two dimensional representation of your data using
columns and rows
•A
relational database allows you to easily find specific information. It also
allows you to sort based on any field and generate reports that contain only
certain fields from each record. Relational databases use tables to store
information. The standard fields and records are represented as columns
(fields) and rows (records) in a table.

processor
for the processor i would opt for an Intel xeon this is because of its well known ability to reach demanding performances at a highly efficient energy rate and a 3.4 ghz is available at £400 which is extremely reasonable considering its performance. a limitation off this processor is that it will eventually become outdated although it is currently top of the line
graphics card
for the graphics card i would select the evga gtx 650 this is because it is a very powerful graphics card for its low price at £67 and is capable of performing at a very high rate and allows benefits such as dual or triple monitors which can be extremely useful in terms of productivity a limitation of this graphics card is that isnt the best and might not be able to cope with extremely graphic demanding programs
motherboard
i would chose the asus rampage iv extreme this is a very high quality motherboard and suport all necercery functions such as usb 3.0 this is important for faster file transfer rates.
power-supply
for the power-supply i would go with the 800w ez cool asa this would be a good option if considering further upgrades may need more poweer also it only costs £41
cooling option
for the cooling option i would chose the xspc ray storm water cooling kit this will be suficiant to keep the pc at reasonable temperatures and also comes with a control panel which allows you to manually change the pcs temperature which would be useful
ram
for the ram i would select the 2x 8gb from corsair which would total at £89 this would amount to 16gb of ram which is highly useful
SSD
for the SSD i would chose a 480 gb ssd which would cost £200
monitor
for the monitor i would chose a 27 inch samsung display which would cost £180
operating system
windows seven
total cost= £1800

MAC
- 3.2GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
- 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
- 1TB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm
- NVIDIA GeForce
- GTX 675MX 1GB GDDR5
cost £1,699.00
overall i would select the pc over the mac as there is much more performance for the money and it is much more upgrade-able which will be useful in the future
